This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement (Statement) is made pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK) and the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) (the Australian Modern Slavery Act) by Doghouse Group Pty Ltd ACN 109 219 490 and all related entities.
We are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.
Doghouse Agency was founded in 2006. Since then we’ve grown to a team of 30+ open-source specialists with offices in Melbourne and Perth.
Our team are recognised industry experts with a track record of success at an enterprise level. Backed by a dedicated technical team of Drupal experts, we are experienced at building and interfacing with enterprise-grade integrations, including:
- Standard REST and SOAP APIs, ESBs, and more customised endpoints for real-time and asynchronous data interchanges
- Integration with CRM, ERP and advertising databases via API gateways
- SSO integrations including Active Directory (Azure Cloud), LDAP, Google and Facebook
- Development of real-time social media aggregation tools using Drupal and Node.js
- Complex data integration and migration from legacy systems (format agnostic - SQL, CSV, REST, XML and even MS Word documents)
- Custom Drupal module development for core product releases, including govCMS
Our technical team works closely with our service design team, who use a human-centred philosophy, placing great value on enhancing the experience of end users. Our application of the user-centred design (UCD) methodology has successfully identified and met the needs of users across multiple projects.
We were previously awarded an Australian Web Award for our work with Perth City Council, and in 2017 we won the Public Sector Acquia Engage Award in Boston for the Australian federal Department of the Environment’s State of the Environment Report. This was internationally hailed as a revolutionary digital transformation, built upon the GovCMS platform with custom modules that now form part of the core distribution.
Our supply chains include IT services providers as at the date of this Statement operating 100% domestically in Australia. As at the date of this Statement we do not outsource to offshore providers.
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business and in our supply chains.
As part of our initiative to identify, monitor and mitigate against industry risk, business transaction risk and risk in the countries in which we operate, we nominate senior representatives of each department within our business, who in turn report to the Chief Operating Officer.
We have in place policies and systems across our business to:
- Identify, assess and monitor other potential risk areas;
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring;
- Identify inappropriate employment practices;
- Protect whistleblowers; and
- Investigate reports of Modern Slavery.
We have no tolerance whatsoever for slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we operate in line with principles of responsible sourcing, including paying employees at the prevailing minimum wage applicable within their relevant country of operations. We have policies and codes of conduct which outline our expectations. The relevant staff members monitor and enforce compliance of these policies and codes.
We provide relevant training to our colleagues in order to ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business, and also within our supply chains and among our business partners. Under our policies and codes of conduct we also expect our key partners to provide regular and relevant training to their staff and suppliers and providers.
